Behind the wheel

Three things people ask me

Turn the wheel to whichever one you came here for.

On nerves

What you arrive with. We look at that before anything else.

Anxiety comes up by name in my reviews, repeatedly and without euphemism. So does arriving with no confidence at all after someone else knocked it out of you.

Neither is a reason you cannot learn. They are the starting conditions I work with most often.

In their words

What my students say

I would rather you read the reviews than take my word for anything. There are forty-four of them, written over six years, and every one is five stars.

The same handful of words keeps coming back. Tap one and read the reviews it came from, and decide for yourself whether they are what you are looking for in an instructor.

I have a high level of anxiety, but her method of teaching is unbelievable. She has so much patience and love for others.

Didn't get along with manual lessons so I began automatic lessons with Safia. She is so helpful, patient and understanding.

Safia taught both myself and my older sister. We would 100% recommend her to every girl out there wanting to learn to drive. Her limitless patience, warm and compassionate nature, and adaptable, intelligent teaching.

Incredibly patient, friendly and also very professional. She built my confidence in driving in the UK.

Wherever you are starting

You do not need to be ready. You need to start.

You have never driven

We start on quiet roads, and for your first ten lessons I drive you there and back myself. You pay for the teaching, not the travelling.

It has not worked out before

Most of the people who ring me are starting again after something did not work out. It is the part of the job I know best.

Manual did not suit you

No clutch, no stalling, no hunting for the biting point. Take those away and most of what frightens people about learning to drive goes with them.

You passed years ago

A couple of hours to shake off the rust, or as long as you need. There is no fixed course length.
